is this thing on?

Hi. Is this thing on?
.
It’s been a bit since I’ve said hello.
.
Spring became exceptionally busy, and I have to say,
.
Confession time: My last message to you about bringing the adventure home was, well, kind of a fail.
.
Spring turned into a busy mess which left me scrambling. I could not for the life of me get off the hamster wheel in my mind and when 4am stress wake-ups became my pattern, I knew I had to do a massive time & priority & boundary realignment.
.
This is life — and business. Even those of us who pride ourselves on being boundary masters (ahem) find ourselves in need of a tune up.

.
Why?
.
Because we all get into patterns. Patterns are comfortable! And let’s be honest, busy is a great cover for avoiding the tough work of sitting with ht needs to change. We’ve all been there, no doubt: “I’m so busy, I’ll deal with that when I __.” Right?
.
So, here’s what I did: I wrapped up season 3 of the “Your New Life Blend” podcast (are you caught up?!?!), I paused my newsletter and much of my marketing and promotion, kicked all business development out to the fall, said no to multiple projects and opportunities, and I’ve been taking the summer to work with the great client roster I currently have, and to overall be way more offline and recalibrate. What a privilege to take a breath, I am well aware.
.
I’m still mapping out the fall, and I’m pretty excited about where things are headed (stay tuned!), but the one thing I know with absolute certainty is that I’m taking it step by step. I don’t want to get sucked into the noise and distractions and so I’m taking the wisdom of the great Olympic Champion Sha’Carri Richardson to heart “Believing in yourself and staying grounded in yourself will take you so far.” I want to make sure that what I’m working on is in alignment for me.
.
September hits hard and all the more so in an election year (ay yi yi). Maybe you’re feeling the weight of fall, too? This is our reminder to listen inward, take our time and pace ourselves, and not let a new season dictate our timeline.

.
Would love to hear how YOU have been. Comment below to let me know–I’ve missed you.
